I consulted with several jewelers when I started looking into creating the most important piece of jewelry in my life, even though I have a jeweler in my family. I knew I found the right people for the love of my life’s special ring the first time I met Mary and Tia. Mary and Tia both heard what I wanted and were able to help lead me in designing a ring far greater than anything I could have ever imagined. And they did it quickly, kindly, and professionally.
The Syndicate Difference
In 2016 The Gem Syndicate was forged by Tiya and Mary, two friends with a passion for the industry. The goal being, to bring color to the forefront of engagement, fashion and bespoke jewelry utilizing their decades of knowledge and experience.
Tiya and Mary met while on the board of directors for the Women’s Jewelry Association and became fast friends and colleagues. The merging of their business perspectives allowed them to create unique designs with the highest quality gemstones.
Tiya has a family history steeped in the gem and jewelry industry for three generations. Upon graduation from University of Washington it was a natural fit for her to also enter the Gemstone business. Since entering the industry she has found her life’s passion in the world of colored gemstones and jewelry.
Mary started her career in retail 23 years ago and shortly thereafter moved into the custom and estate side of jewelry. Nurturing her creative side, she developed a fashion forward eye for design and loves sharing her passion and knowledge with clients.
After 2 years of continuous success the Gem Syndicate needed to expand the team and added Seena and Nicholas to support the continued growth of the business.
Seena began a slow immersion into the jewelry industry 4 years ago after spending 20 years in the hospitality industry. Traveling overseas, taking bench classes and falling in love with color opened her eyes to a whole new world. Draped in decades of customer service and team management she was a perfect addition to the team.
Nicholas joined the team as the Strategic Business Officer. Bringing with him an eye for detail and organizational skills that set The Gem Syndicate on a path for success. He brings a unique background in Chemistry, Industrial Process, Technology, Sales and Entrepreneurship.

How long will it take to receive my order?
We ship via USPS selecting the Two Day Priority Mail shipping method. Please contact us if you need overnight shipping service or require a different method of shipment.
How do I begin?
Contact us to set a video appointment. You are then able to hand select your exact gemstone and begin the design process while discussing your ideas and criteria with our video team!
Is there a deposit?
Yes. Half down is required when we begin your project and final payment is due once items is ready to ship out to you.

Can pick my own stone?
Yes. Set an appointment for a video chat and you are able to look at a selection of loose gemstones that fit your criteria and select the exact one. The video is shot at 10x magnification, so you are able to get an up close view of your gemstone.
What metals do you have?
You may select from the following metals: Rose gold, white gold, yellow gold, platinum and silver.
Can I return a custom piece?
Custom pieces are non refundable. We have a process in place so that we assure that you love your new creation every step of the way. We will work to make sure that you can clearly "see" your vision and do not move forward without your approval.
